I Paint in a mode of "magical realism" a term invented to describe the works of Latin American authors. It describes a capturing of the moment, the beauty of a place, or the telling energy of figures dancing, resting or moving through life. It is all visually poetic and worthy of depiction. It offers the viewer a chance to partake in these human images and to feel them. The use of pastels as the medium of expression has created a definitive style that is immediately recognizable. Acrylics, as a medium, builds on this.
